Policy 06
Acceptable use
A short policy for a narrow service. Most of it follows from what the service is: three photographs of three garments, laid flat, and nothing else.

1. What to upload
Three photographs, each of one item, laid flat on a surface: a pair of trousers or shorts, a pair of socks, a pair of shoes. Plain background, reasonable light, nothing worn.
2. What not to upload
- Photographs of anyone wearing clothing. The service refuses them. It reads colour in sequence, not people.
- Photographs containing an identifiable person, in whole or in part.
- Photographs of anyone under 18, in any context.
- Content you do not have the right to upload.
- Sexual content, content depicting violence, hateful content, or content that harasses or targets an individual.
- Anything unlawful under the law of England and Wales or of the country you are in.
3. Decisions this must not be used for
This service reads the colour of cloth and describes a convention of dress. It has no competence beyond that, and it must not be relied on — alone or as an input — for:
- medical or clinical decisions;
- legal advice or legal decisions;
- financial, insurance or credit decisions;
- safety-critical decisions;
- employment, recruitment, promotion or performance decisions;
- housing or tenancy decisions;
- judicial, immigration or law-enforcement decisions;
- any assessment of a person’s character, competence, professionalism or suitability.
It must also not be used to judge, grade or rank how anybody looks. The service does not do this and will not be made to.
4. Technical restrictions
- Do not attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
- Do not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the service, or use automated means to create accounts or submit readings.
- Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute access to the service.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the service’s operation or its availability to others.
- Do not circumvent the allowance system or any technical limit.
Security researchers: if you find something, please tell us at support@primehosiery.shop before telling anyone else. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine finding in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
5. Age
You must be at least 16 to use the service, and at least 18 to take out a paid subscription. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below those ages we will close it and delete the personal data held against it.
6. Legal and export restrictions
The service is available worldwide over the public internet. You are responsible for complying with the laws of the country you use it from, and you must not use it where doing so would breach them.
We do not make the service available to anyone subject to UK, EU or US sanctions, or to anyone located in a territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, and we may decline or close an account on those grounds. The service contains no controlled cryptographic functionality beyond ordinary transport security.
7. What happens if this is broken
We would rather write to you than close your account, and normally that is what we do. Where a breach is serious, repeated, or unlawful, we may suspend or close the account without notice.
Where we close an account and you have paid for a period you can no longer use, we refund it. Full detail is in the terms of service.
